Phoenixville HS Choral Duo Advances to Regional Competition

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- A pair of Phoenixville High School students have advanced to a regional-level music competition.

The school announced that singers Taylor Patania and Elyse Langan would compete at the next level of the Pennsylvania Music Educator's Association Choral competition.

The District 12 Chorus Festival will take place from February 23-25 at Strath Haven High School. The event is hosted by John Shankweiler.

District 12 covers Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties. It is a part of PMEA's Region VI, which covers all of the five-county Philadelphia area, including Montgomery and Bucks counties.

The PMEA, founded in 1933, organizes events and competitions for those engaged in music instruction at all levels, from preschool through college, across the state.
