Phoenixville HS Physics Team Heads To Thailand
The team from Phoenixville is entered in an international competition.

The Phoenixville High School Physics team is headed to Thailand to represent the United States at the International Youth Physicists Tournament.
Hundreds of people donated money to the team so that they could afford the trip, according to the high school.
A total of $33,000 was raised, the high school said.

The team left for Thailand on Tuesday, June 23.

The IYPT, sometimes also referred to as “Physics World Cup”, is a team-oriented scientific competition among teams of secondary school students. The participants present their solutions to scientific problems they have prepared over several months and then discuss their solutions with other teams.
The tournament begins in Nakhonratchasima on June 27 and will stretch until July 4.
