Phoenixville LGBT Group Donates 155 Backpacks Of Supplies To Foster Kids: Report

PHOENIXVILLE, PA - One Phoenixville group is making a big difference around the holiday season.

Phoenixville’s LGBTea Dances donated 155 backpacks filled with school supplies after hosting a fundraiser for foster children in Chester County.

The fundraiser was held at Phoenixville Area High School on December 14, reports state.

The event brought together several different civil rights groups and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender organizations, according to the Pottstown Mercury.

Donated items included hairbrushes, toothbrushes, pajamas, crayons, coloring books, stuffed animals, and more.

Chester County Children, Youth, and Families received the donations.
