Phoenixville Library Was Investigated By SCARED! Paranormal Show

Is the Phoenixville library haunted? These guys thought so.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA - Is the Phoenixville library haunted?

In 2009, the crew of SCARED!, a Youtube and public access television series, came to the borough library to check it out.

“When does fiction become non-fiction?” the trailer’s introduction asks.

Throughout the trailer for the episode, the SCARED! crew is shown moving through the library stacks at night and using scanning devices to apparently probe for paranormal activity.

Investigators said they sensed “a lot of residual energy” and “activity” in the main Carnegie Room.

“There’s still been evidence of books actually flying, physically, off the shelf,” said one man, taking a book from the shelf and waving it around:

Libraries are places of knowledge, places of history and it is commonly known that they are open to the public...but does that invitation extend to ghostly patrons as well? Built at the turn of the century, the Phoenixville Library has had its share of strange occurrences over the years. What stories are waiting to be told by those other than the authors of the many books within these walls?
