Phoenixville Man, 80, U.S. Army Veteran, Passes Away
He loved the Mummers, the Phillies, and the Eagles.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Joseph B. Scherer, age 80, husband of Dorothy J. (Stanwell) Scherer, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Born on February 19, 1937, in Philadelphia PA, he was a son of Frederick and Anna (Goodchild) Scherer. He was a 1956 graduate of South Philadelphia High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved the Mummers, Phillies and Eagles.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Mr. Scherer is survived by Daughter, Dottie (Gerald) Nachman of Wayne, PA; Granddaughter, Beth O. (Zachary Davis) Nachman of King of Prussia, PA; Grandson, Jacob M. Nachman, of Seattle, WA; Sister-In-Law, Patricia (the late Frederick) Scherer of Deptford, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Scherer was pre-deceased by siblings, James Scherer, Joyce Ziegenfuss, Marguerite Elliott, Elizabeth Tupper, Francis Scherer and Frederick Scherer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 9:30 am. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Tuesday, at the funeral home, with a Memorial Service to follow.
