Phoenixville Man Sentenced To 690 Years In Jail For 'Worst' Crime

It may be the longest sentence ever handed down in the country's history, according to one report.

A Phoenixville man has been sentenced to 339 to 690 years in jail for rape and deviate sexual intercourse with four young children, according to a report in the Daily Local News.

Warren Earl Yerger Sr., 52, could not simply be given a sentence of life in prison due to the nature of his charges, the report states, so Judge William P. Mahon handed down a ruling that would keep Yerger in jail until his death.

It’s may be the longest sentence handed down in national history, the report states.
