Phoenixville Middle School Teacher, 57, Had 'Heart Of Service'
Phoenixville Middle School instructional aide and mother of two, Carolyn Boring, 57, was remembered for her dedication to public service.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Carolyn M. (Peter) Boring, 57, wife of the late James C. Boring, of Phoenixville, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Paoli Hospital. Born on February 4, 1961 in Orange, NJ, she was a daughter of William Peter, of Union, NJ and the late Cecilia (O'Connor) Peter.
A Class of 1979 graduate of Archbishop Walsh High School in Irvington, NJ, Carolyn earned her Masters Degree in Education from Cabrini College. She was employed as an instructional aide for Phoenixville Area Middle School.

Passionate and caring, with a heart for service, Carolyn served St. Ann's Parish as a lector and through the Pre-Cana program. She enjoyed crocheting various projects and donating them to local organizations. She was also involved with the Phoenixville YMCA, where she had formerly judged synchronized swimming and was a stroke and turn judge.
In addition to her father, William Peter, Carolyn is survived by two daughters: Emily K. Boring and Erin M. Boring, both of Phoenixville; two brothers and their spouses: Michael and Joyce Peter of Union, NJ, and Tim and Tammy Peter, of Long Valley, NJ; and sister-in-law: Lisa Peter, of Metuchen, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at St. Ann Chapel, 604 South Main Street, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Interment will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 10:45 am at the Chapel.
