Phoenixville Named Among 'Best Places For Pizza Lovers' Nationwide

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Phoenixville is among the 500 best towns across the nation for pizza lovers, according to a new study. The rankings were curated by LendEDU, an online marketplace for student loans and loan refinancing.

LendEDU's rankings are essentially based on "pizza-per-capita." They analyzed towns with a population of at least 10,000 that also contained at least five pizza shops. The total number of pizzerias was then divided by that town's population to create a "pizza indicator."

By those metrics, Ocean City, New Jersey, has the densest pizzeria to person ratio in the nation, with an indicator of 117.21.

Phoenixville, meanwhile, came safely in the top 500, landing in 266th with a score of 50.47. Steel City pizzerias include Vecchia Pizza, Franco Ristorante, Liberty Square, Pat's, Palermo's, Hog Island, Rocco's, TD Alfredo's, Infinito's, Sal's, Bella Napoli, and more.

Fairless Hills led the way for Pennsylvania in 13th overall.
