Phoenixville Not Dismissing Early, But No After-School Events

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville did not follow the cue of several local school districts, opting to remain open for a full day on Tuesday despite the forecasted winter weather.

Several local districts, including neighboring Spring-Ford, chose to dismiss early.

A few inches of snow are possible in the area, with rain likely turning to snow at some point in the afternoon before frigid temperatures set in.

After school activities at Phoenixville are canceled on Tuesday, however.

Middle school and high school buses will depart ten minutes early.

The district added that YMCA child care will run on a normal schedule.
