
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville Police and Trappe EMS had a unique opportunity during a call last week: they got to help deliver a baby boy.
The incident occurred at around 3:21 a.m. on Feb. 27.
The Thompson family called an ambulance as the mother, Melissa, began to go into labor.

However, when officers and the Trappe EMS arrived to their home on the 1200 block of Garfield Avenue, the baby was already on the way.
Phoenixville's Sgt. Sutton Officer Duchnosky, along with Trappe EMS medic Wayne Salat, EMT Mark Smith, and neighbor Chrissy Walsh, all pictured above, helped to deliver baby Tyler Christopher.

All family members are healthy and doing well.
