Phoenixville Pumpkinfest is Saturday

The Phoenixville Pumpkinfest will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18.

Pumpkinfest will be held downtown. Main Street will be closed between Church and Bridge streets from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the borough said; the Main and Bridge Street parking lot will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The general schedule of events, according to Pumpkinfest organizers, is:

PUMPKIN CARNIVAL (Click for more details)

• 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Pumpkin Painting in the Municipal Lot
• 3:30 p.m.: Pumpkin Smashing by Phoenix Karate (tentative)

PUMPKIN DERBY

• 11 a.m. to noon: Pumpkin Derby registration check-in
• noon to 12:30 p.m.: Judging – Best Decoration & Design
• 12:30 p.m.: General Pumpkin Derby Race
• 1:30 p.m.: Cheater Derby Race
• 2 p.m.: Restaurant Race
• 3 p.m.: Business Race

PUMPKIN DISH

• 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Best Pumpkin Dish People’s Choice – Text -To-Vote
• 4:30 pm – Announce Winner
