Phoenixville Running Store Employee Named Female Athlete Of The Year
The local runner received a huge accolade from USA Track and Field.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- A standout local runner who received accolades as a performer for Methacton High School and then Slippery Rock University has been honored by track and field’s national governing body.
Crystal Burnick was named the 2015 Long Distance Female Athlete of the Year by the USA Track and Field Mid-Atlantic Association, the organization announced.
Burnick is an employee of All Kinds of Fast, Phoenixville’s specialty running store located on Bridge Street. She also works as an assistant coach for distance runners at Ursinus College.

A 2011 graduate of Slippery Rock, Burnick finished the highly competitive Broad Street run as the third American female runner - and ninth overall in the race - in a blistering time of 56:59.
Her USATF commendation indicates she is training to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials. Her next race is the Houston Marathon on Sunday, January 17.
