Phoenixville Schools Closed Wednesday

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Phoenixville Area School District has cancelled school on Wednesday due to the icy, wintry storm sweeping across the region.

Original reports from the district at around 5:30 a.m. called for a two-hour delay, but that changed. It was a last minute call, as the district made the decision to close at around 6:40 a.m.

A sleety rain was falling early Wednesday and roads were already very slick at around sunrise.

Office staff should report at noon.
