Phoenixville Serviceman Honored With Homecoming Parade

When Phoenixville's Cpl. Bryan Walters returned from active duty, it was the first time he got to see his daughter.

A welcome home escort and rally honored a Phoenixville native returning home from a deployment with the Marine Corps on Saturday.

Corporal Bryan Walters’ wife, Michelle, and their 4 and a half month old daughter, Kinley, were also be in attendance.

The Warriors Watch Riders, which honors returning servicemen and women around the country with cavalcades and “welcome home escorts,” was on hand to honor Walters on Saturday as well.

“The Warriors’ Watch Riders envision a day when every member of the United States Armed Forces at home and abroad, an their families, feel appreciated, respected, and loved by the citizens they risk their lives to protect,” they say on their website.

The cavalcade of motorcycles was joined by three trucks from the Phoenixville Fire Company in the rally.

Walters attended Phoenixville Middle School and graduated from CAT Pickering in 2011. According to the event’s press release, his hobbies include fishing, hunting, and dirt biking.

He enlisted in 2011 after graduation and has been station in North Carolina. He works as a 6212 harrier engine mechanic.
