Phoenixville Woman To Host Food Drive For Birthday Celebration

When one Phoenixville woman was planning out her 50th birthday party, she decided to do something a little different.

Instead of celebrating in a traditional way, Jean Szegedy decided to give back.

Thus was born the idea of a food drive.

The drive will take place during First Friday in Phoenixville from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the parking lot on the corner of Bridge Street and Main Street.

The drive will support PACS - Phoenixville Area Community Services.

Acceptable items include: non-perishable food, paper products, personal hygiene items, and cash.
