Phoenixville Woman Leading Charges Against Apple For Not Paying Wages: Report

A local woman is among a pair alleging that Apple kept them in the store off the clock for security checks.

A Phoenixville woman is among two former employees of the King of Prussia Apple Store that are suing the company, according to Philadelphia Magazine report.

Natasha Franklin, of Phoenixville, and Julian Coleman, of Philadelphia, are suing for wages they allege are owed during unpaid time spent undergoing security checks before meal breaks and at the end of each shift, according to the report.

The pair say that hundreds of other employees throughout the state are owed millions in back pay for the unpaid wages, the report states.

The checks are done to keep secure the many expensive items at each Apple Store, according to the report.

Up to 17 minutes per day were spent doing these checks, according to the report. Apple denies the allegations.
