Phoenixville Woman Sentenced After Fraudulently Selling Millions In Telecom Equipment: US Attorney

A Phoenixville woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for orchestrating a long-running, multi-million dollar fraudulent scheme.

Phoenixville, PA -- A Phoenixville woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for selling millions of dollars in fraudulent telecom equipment, according to the United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey.

Juanita L. Berry, 48, had been convicted in December of 2015 for four counts of wire fraud, which led to a total of $3.5 million in losses, the Attorney said.

The long-running scheme began in 2008 when Berry worked as a consultant for a company in Indiana, according to officials. Berry initially worked out of the Levittown office and then in Dayton, New Jersey.
