Phoenixville's 'Beer Emporium' Could Open Within The Month

The Foodery is opening soon on Bridge Street in downtown Phoenixville, featuring 1,500 beer bottles, plus drafts, sandwiches, and much more.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- The Phoenixville location of the popular beer distributor and gourmet deli The Foodery could open within the next month.

The Philadelphia-based chain, which is moving into the old location of the Family Dollar on 325 Bridge Street, says on their Facebook page that they anticipate September as their estimated grand opening date. An exact date has not yet been provided by owners.

The Foodery, described as a “beer emporium,” already has three locations in Philadelphia, including Roxborough, Northern Liberties, and Center City.

The store is known for more than just its wide beer selection, however.

While it’s unclear exactly what amenities the larger, 7,000 square foot Phoenixville location will offer, other locations offer in-store seating where customers can sit and drink their beer. Their menu includes sandwiches, salads, and a wide variety of snacks. Of course, that's in addition to a selection of 1,500 different types of beer bottles, plus various craft brews on tap.

In Center City, there are televisions. Philadelphia locations also offer order delivery services.

They've released their preliminary menu, which they say will grow as they come to understand their customer base:

The Foodery also announced that Saint Peter's deli would be the official bread provider for the Phoenixville location.
