Phoenixville's Beloved Water World Not Sold In Auction: Report

The bids were too low. Because zoning is flexible, the future owners of the park could turn it into whatever they want.

Phoenixville’s infamous Water World Park, a summer haven and source of nostalgia for borough residents for years, was not sold during a recent auction, according to the Pottstown Mercury.

The park held an auction at its location on 655 Schuylkill Road on Wednesday and several bids were made, but they were not accepted by the seller, per the report.

“This was a seller’s confirmation auction,” said Bob Dann, executive vice president & chief operations officer for Max Spann Real Estate and Auction Co., told the Mercury. “That means the seller has to confirm they will accept the bid.

Customers Bank bid of $325,000 for the property was too low, according to the report.
