Phoenixville's Colonial Theatre To Show 5 Italian Horror Films On 'Splatterfest' Night

The all-night Italian Splatterfest will feature five choice classics.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville's Colonial Theatre will host a showing of a series of Italian horror movies during an upcoming special event.

The Italian All-Night Splatterfest Part IV: Splatter Time will take place on Saturday, Sept. 2.

A series of five films will be shown. In addition, prizes, posters, t-shirts, and food from Shorty’s Sunflower Café and Truckstop will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $25; $20 for seniors and students, and $15 for members.

Blood and Black Lace – A masked killer with a sinister metal glove preys on Italy’s top fashion models in an effort to acquire a diary full of incriminating evidence. Special Bonus: We’re screening this film simultaneously in two theatres using two different formats: In Theatre #1, a vintage 35mm film print; In Theatre #2, a digital 2K restoration of the original, uncut Italian release – so you can chose which version you prefer to watch!

The Bird with the Crystal Plumage – After a mysterious figure attacks a woman in his presence, an expatriate writer (Tony Musante) scours Rome to find the vicious assailant. 35mm Projection.

The Guardians of Hell AKA The Other Hell – Who or what is causing the weird disturbances at a creepy convent? Priest/paranormal investigator Father Valerio is about to find out! 35mm Projection.

Demons – Do you hate it when people talk or text in a movie theatre? That’s nothing compared to the crazy stuff going on at the Metropol. It seems that an infection is spreading through the movie house causing folks to turn into the titular creatures! 35mm Projection.
