Phoenixville, PA -- Donors to GreenDrop, the area company which recycles used clothing and household goods, can now also support the American Red Cross.
The local organization, which has a drop off in Phoenixville on 256 Schuylkill Rd, unloads donations from donors and provides a tax-deductible receipt.
Donors then may choose which of GreenDrop’s partner charities their giving benefits: the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the National Federation of the Blind, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Philadelphia, and now, the American Red Cross.

"When I envisioned the concept for GreenDrop, I drew a rough sketch of what I wanted our donation centers to be, which included the American Red Cross’ logo among our existing partner charities,” GreenDrop Founder and Chairman Chris Stinnett said in a press release. “Since inception, partnering with the American Red Cross has been a goal of our organization, and I am so proud that today it is a reality.”
For over a century, the Red Cross has been one of the nation’s premier humanitarian organizations. Today, it provides critical services such as: disaster relief, support for military families, life-saving blood, health and safety services, and international services to help communities worldwide, a press release states.
