Phoenixville's Heidi Sue's Variety Store To Close

The borough’s oldest five and dime shop is closing its doors.

Heidi Sue’s Variety Store, one of the town’s older buildings a remnant of a past era, has long been a place for residents to buy a wide cross-section of knick-knacks.

The owner of the shop, Ken Zimmerman, will be retiring.

The building has been sold. It has not yet been announced what will replace Heidi Sue’s.
