Phoenixville's Historic Byrne Mansion To Open As Funeral Home
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new funeral home in the renovated Byrne Mansion will be held Thursday.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A ribbon cutting ceremony for the funeral home moving into the renovated Byrne Mansion in Phoenixville will be held Thursday.
The home located on the 400 S. Main Street dates back to the 19th Century and was the home of inventor Thomas F. Byrne.
It will now be the new home of R Strunk Funeral Home and Cremation Services, after it was purchased by locals Bobby and Dodi Strunk in February 2018.

According to the Chamber of Commerce, one of the region's "preeminent designers," Michele Yurick Kelly, was brought in to help restore and redesign the mansion.
"It was important to me to be respectful of the integrity of the building, only to enhance it,” she told the Chamber. "When I made the selections, I tried to keep in mind what it might have felt like years ago."

The ribbon cutting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Register here.
