Phoenixville's Total Snow Accumulation

The weatherman was right and wrong. He said Chester County would see three to six inches of snow Saturday.

He just didn’t specify during which hour.

The blizzard of 2016 did not disappoint, blanketing the region in several feet of snow.

Phoenixville consistently ranked among Pennsylvania’s highest snowfall recipients throughout the storm. Spotters measured 24 inches at at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. When the snow dust finally settled, about 28 inches were measured in Phoenixville, with snow drifts well over four feet.

Residents in nearby areas recorded even larger amounts, with unofficial reports nearing 30 inches around the county.
