Phoenixville's Val Rio Diner Up For Sale, Owner Hopes to Preserve
The classic Val Rio Diner is up for sale at a fraction of its original price. The owner hopes the unique eatery can be preserved.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Phoenixville's classic Val Rio Diner, one of only four unique "Paramount" diners remaining in the United States, is up for sale again, but this time at a drastically reduced price. RetroRoadmap reports that the diner is up for sale for just $30,000, which is 80 percent less than its previous offering price of $225,000.
Owner Francis Puelo reportedly hopes that the unique eatery can be preserved.
“I’d love to see it sold to someone who could re-open it, but at this point, if I am not able to find a buyer soon, I may have to scrap it,” Puleo told RetroRoadmap.
