Pints for Pups Comes to Phoenixville

The beer flowed as the animals mingled at the Humane Society of Berks County’s annual Pints for Pups event at the corner of Bridge and Main streets Saturday afternoon. According to the Mercury News, it’s the first time the fundraiser has been held in Phoenixville.

A large variety of lagers and ales were available to ticket holders from breweries such as Sly Fox, Weyerbacher, Great Lakes Brewing Company and Harpoon Brewery. All proceeds from the event will benefit veterinary and pet care programs provided to low-income areas.

The Humane Society of Berks County will hold its next Pints for Pups event at Buchanan Park in Lancaster, Pa., Oct. 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
