'Production Event' Will Again Shut Down Bridge St In Phoenixville

It's the same notice that was issued ahead of the filming of Kate Winslet's upcoming HBO show, "Mare of Easttown," last month.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Bridge Street will be shut down once again in Phoenixville this week for a "production event," officials announced Monday.

The closure will take place on Thursday, Jan. 9.

Though officials and film crews are not able to confirm details or the exact nature of the shoot, this is the same notice that was issued when Kate Winslet was in town for the filming of her new HBO show, "Mare of Easttown," last month.

Filming for the upcoming show, which follows a troubled Pennsylvania detective investigating the murder of a young girl, has taken place through the Philadelphia suburbs over the last several months. Filming locations have included a vacant Kmart in Coatesville and Don's Deli in Boothwyn.

Bridge Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic between Church Street and Wheatland Street from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday.

Parking restrictions will begin at 6 a.m. Thursday on Bridge Street from Wheatland Street to Buchanan Street. Buchanan Street, from Washington Avenue to Bridge Street, and Morgan Street, from Lincoln Avenue to Buchanan Street, will also be restricted.

Restrictions will be lifted at 6 a.m. on Friday.

Any borough residents impacted by these restrictions can park in the Borough Hall lot or the Wheatland Street lot.
