Red-Tailed Hawk Lands On Waitress' Head In Downtown Phoenixville
A waitress at Great American Pub was standing outside during her break when the hawk swooped in.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Downtown Phoenixville may be in the midst of an exciting revitalization with countless new developments, but mother nature is never really all that far away at all.
A waitress at Great American Pub was standing outside during her break last Tuesday when a red-tailed hawk swooped down and landed on her head, police reported in a recent blotter.
The woman ran back inside the restaurant as the hawk clung to her head. Inside, the hawk departed and began flying about the interior of the restaurant.

Police were called to the scene and found the hawk flying around the kitchen.
A bystander, described by police as "brave," caught the bird with a tablecloth and was able to release it, unharmed, outside.
