Residents Scramble As Phoenixville Neighborhoods Remain Unplowed

Snow still blanketed many Phoenixville roads Monday morning as several neighborhoods remained untouched by plows.

Several neighborhoods throughout Phoenixville remained unreached by plows Monday morning, and even those that had received a pass through were still difficult to pass through, making it extremely difficult or possible for residents to leave for work.

Residents of Morgan Street said that the adjacent Gay Street had been plowed, but that their street remained untouched.

Other neighborhoods that reported no plow activity by Sunday night or Monday morning were several areas on the North Side, including Penn Street and Emmett Street.

No specific timetable was available for when all streets would be reached. And even when they are, residents will still need to drive carefully.

Many plowed streets on the North Side, for instance, were only wide enough for one car to pass Monday morning. Turns are very difficult to execute for the average car, as vehicles became stuck in thicker patches of snow.

And around the borough, residents that use street parking had to shovel out spots that were buried in snow drifts up to five feet high.

More information on snow plow status will be provided as it becomes available.

Call the borough a 610.933.8801 to report if your street is still unplowed. Do not call 911.
