Rita's Welcomes Spring with Free Italian Ice in Phoenixville

It may not feel like spring with a final winter blast hitting the area on Friday, but that has not stopped Rita’s Italian Ice from starting the season with its annual “First Day of Spring Celebration.”

Customers are invited to stop by their nearest stand for one free Italian ice between noon and 9 p.m.

Before digging in, customers are also encouraged to snap a picture and share it to social media sites with the hashtag #RitasFirstDayofSpring. Participants will be automatically entered into a photo contest, with grand prize winners receiving a full year of free Italian ice. Submissions will be accepted until midnight March 24.

The Phoenixville location is also accepting donations of non-perishable food and canned goods that will be donated to the local American Cancer Society.
