Road 'Buckles' On 422, Traffic At A Standstill Near Phoenixville

Traffic is at a complete standstill on 422 westbound between Trooper Road and Route 29, according to the Phoenixville Office of Emergency Management.

The road has buckled in that area and vehicles are only passing by on the shoulder.

Many portions of 422 leading up to King of Prussia have been at a complete standstill for much of the afternoon.

Residents responded to the news with disbelief.

“I clicked on the comments because I thought for sure this had to be a sort of cruel, cruel joke,” commented Sam Lufi on Facebook.

Black Rock Road in Phoenixville is similarly backed up leading to 422.

The Facebook page “422 Sucks,” which is covering the incident, has over 21,000 likes.

“Waiting for a UFO to land somewhere on 202 by King of Prussia. That would make commuter life complete for June 2015,” Maureen Rowan commented.
