Road Closed For Hours After Truck Stuck Under Bridge In Schuylkill Township

SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP, PA — A truck became stuck under the Pawlings Road Bridge in Schuylkill Township once again on Tuesday afternoon, causing backups for hours as crews worked to clear the scene.

The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. A truck from Paragon freight made it part way under the low pass before grinding to a halt. Videos and photos from the scene showed the rear of the truck fishtailed out to the side.

The road closure continued into the evening hours.

It's just the latest incident involving a truck and the overpass, which has snared countless high clearance vehicles in recent years.

No injuries were reported.
