Robert Michener, 74, Passed Away on July 18

Michener was a graduate of Phoenixville Area High School.

Robert P. Michener, age 74, husband of Faye L. (Marshall) Michener, of Oaks, PA, died Wednesday afternoon, July 18, 2012. 

Born in his family home, Mr. Michener was a son of the late B. Franklin and Frances E. (Price) Michener.  He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School.  Mr. Michener attended night school at Temple University, studying metallurgy. He worked for many years as a tool and die maker serving his apprenticeship at B & F Tool Co. He worked for Moore Products in Spring House for 33 years retiring in 2001. Mr. Michener was a life member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oaks.  He was also a life member of the Oaks Fire Company, joining the company at the age of 18. Mr. Michener was an active fire fighter for many years and also was a former president, fire chief, secretary and engineer.

In addition to his wife of fifty years, Mr. Michener is survived by three children:  Patricia A. LaCava, of Spring City; Kathleen J., wife of Joseph Dankowski, of Oaks; James R. Michener, of Tampa, FL;  one brother: B. Franklin Michener, Jr., of Oaks;  five grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 126 Black Rock Road, Oaks, PA 19456 on Friday, July 27th at 10:30 AM.  Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel K. Olsen.  Burial will be held in the Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 404, Oaks, PA 19456-0404.  Condolences may be made and the video tribute may be viewed by visiting www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.  The Campbell–Ennis–Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
