Limerick Police Rescue Owl Entangled In Soccer Net
One local owl was a little too curious about a soccer goal net on a nearby field recently.

LIMERICK, PA — One local owl was a little too curious about a soccer goal net on a nearby field recently.
The Limerick Police Department said that they were called this week to rescue the owl, which had become entangled in the net on South Limerick Road.
Officer Iochum and Sergeant Marchese responded to the scene.

Police said that with the assistance of residents, the owl was carefully cut out of the net and safely removed.
He was then taken to the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic in Roxborough.

The owl suffered an injured wing, which will be rehabiltated at the clinic, officials said.
Officials said the organization plans to eventually return the owl in his native habitat on South Limerick Road.
