OAKS, PA -- Area law enforcement are warning the public that heavy vehicular traffic is likely due to the Bernie Sanders rally Thursday evening in Oaks.

A memo released by several local police departments urges residents to "please try and avoid the area if possible."

The Sanders rally will take place at the Philadelphia Expo Center. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and admission is first come, first served.

The Sanders event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged.

The public entrance will be through Hall B Main Entrance. For security reasons, don't bring bags and limit what you bring to small, personal items like keys and cell phones, according to information from the campaign.

Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Limited free parking available on-site; carpooling is strongly encouraged.
