Spring City Man Behind Bars After Four Months On The Run
Quinzell Chucky Mickey, 41, is charged with first-degree murder in the April 15 fatal shooting in East Vincent Township.

EAST VINCENT, PA — A 41-year-old East Vincent man wanted in connection to an April 15 fatal shooting of a Spring City man surrendered to Philadelphia police Wednesday.
Quinzell Chucky Mickey is in Chester County Prison without bail after being arraigned before District Judge John Hipple on first-degree murder and related charges.
Mickey is accused of killing William Stafford, 33, who was a passenger in his vehicle just after 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Park Spring Apartment community.

District Attorney Deb Ryan said that law enforcement spent countless hours trying to find Mickey.
“After being on the run for four months, the defendant finally realized that it was time to face the repercussions of his actions,” Ryan said.

Police noted they had a video of the slaying captured on the apartment complex’s surveillance camera, and that it showed the defendant shooting the victim outside the car they both exited.
After the shooting, the video showed Mickey punching the victim after he was shot and on the ground, police said. Mickey then ran away from the scene, wearing a white T-shirt, and dark pants and carrying a hooded sweatshirt.
Several witnesses, who reported hearing the gunshots, identified Mickey on the video, police said.
