An upcoming town hall meeting hosted by local State Rep. Melissa Shusterman (D-157) will be held next month.

The event will take place on Monday, April 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Tredyffrin Public Library.

It's the first town hall organized by Shusterman, who was elected to the state legislature last November.

“This town hall meeting is an important chance for our district residents to have their voices heard and address the issues that concern them most,” Shusterman said in a statement. “I look forward to answering questions and taking the feedback from this town hall with me to Harrisburg.”

Shusterman was named the deputy whip for the House Democratic Caucus in January. It's the first time a freshman legislator has ever earned the distinction. She recently introduced a bill to end traveling animal circuses.
