Stolen, Sick Puppy Safely Recovered In Chester County

Breaking: Police said citizen tips were crucial in bringing Lucky back alive.

NORTH COVENTRY, PA — A sick puppy who was stolen from a Chester County pet store over the weekend has been safely recovered, police said on Monday afternoon.

It's not yet clear how exactly the puppy was recovered, but police said that citizens tips provided to employees of Diane's Discount Pets, in North Coventry, were crucial.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Aug. 5 at around 10 a.m. Two suspects - a man and a woman, both pictured here - were caught on video surveillance footage leaving the store with the puppy.

Lucky was seen by the veterinarian at Diane's Pets and is in good health, the store said. He requires daily medication to live.

An investigation into the suspects remains underway. No arrests have been made.
