Swatting Incident At Phoenixville Area H.S., No Real Threat Discovered
Threats were made to the schools on Friday in an effort to draw a massive law enforcement response, officials said.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The all clear has been given at Phoenixville Area High School Friday after what school officials said was a swatting incident.
The nature of the threats made is not clear, but in a letter sent to the school community, the district said that it fit the definition of swatting, or "making an intentionally malicious prank call to trigger a response from emergency services and law enforcement."
The district restricted movement in certain buildings while police swept the campus to search for anything threatening.
