UPDATE: Mountain Ridge Too Big For Mo'ne Davis
Taney Dragons Fall to Las Vegas, 8-1, in Little League World Series; but Philadelphia isn't out yet...Taney takes on Chicago Thursday night

The Mountain Ridge was too big for Mo’ne Davis and her Philadelphia Little League team.
The Taney Dragons fell to the Las Vegas Mountain Ridge, 8-1, Wednesday night at the Little League World Series in Williamsport.
Pitching phenom Mo’ne Davis, 13, who this week made the cover of Sports Illustrated, left Wednesday’s game early after giving up three runs so that the team can bring her back on Saturday, if they play. Little League has strict pitch-count limits on its players.

Mo’ne pitched 2 1/3 innings, striking out six.
But the Philadelphia team, which has stolen hearts around the country in the past few weeks, is still in it.

Wednesday night’s game was a double elimination, so Taney will take on Chicago’s Jackie Robinson West at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night for one more shot at the U.S. final.
If Taney wins Thursday, they will play Las Vegas again on Saturday.
The Dragons Tweeted out Wednesday night: “Good game Vegas. We hope to see you Saturday. #Respect #BelieveInDragons.”
Respect indeed.
