Two Alarm Building Fire Reported In Norristown

Both fire and EMS crews are on the scene.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A two alarm building fire was reported in Norristown on Friday morning, according to fire officials.

The blaze at Markley Street and Scott Alley was first reported at 8:55 a.m.

Lower Providence Fire Department and Norristown Fire Department were among the crews on hand.

Markley Street has been shut down from Marshall St to Spruce Street, and Elm St has been closed from Astor St to Swede Street until further notice, the municipality announced at about 11 a.m.

Both fire and ambulance crews remained on scene at 10:50 a.m.
