Upper Providence Approves New Shopping Center: Report
A new Germany-based grocery store and other retail buildings would be among the first tenants.

A shopping center in Upper Providence has been given the green light by the Board of Supervisors, according to a report.
The Pottstown Mercury reports that the Germany-based Lidl, a grocery store, a bank, and two retail buildings will be added to a 10-plus acre property near the corner of Ridge Pike and Township Line Road.
Hartford Properties will name the development the Shoppes at Upper Providence.

The center would share a traffic light with Giant across the street.
The plan now awaits approval form the Montgomery County Conservation District, the report states. An exact timeline on how construction, if approved, would commence, is unclear.
