Valley Forge Casino Fined $32K By PA Gaming Control Board

Valley Forge Casino was fined $32,000 for numerous violations, including failure to cooperate with investigations and underage gambling.

VALLEY FORGE, PA — The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board levied $1.1 million in fines across the state, including $32,000 at Valley Forge Resort and Casino for multiple violations, the board announced Wednesday.

The fines are for record retention violations, failure to cooperate with investigators, and underage gaming, the Board said.

A total of $20,000 was levied for the records and cooperation violations. The Board said that the records fines came as a result of other events held at Valley Forge Resort and Casino, including a mixed martial arts event and home shows. During those events, the Casino illegally handed out vouchers for attendees to gain access to the casino. They also failed to keep track of those vouchers and then were not cooperative with the ensuing investigation, the Board alleged.

The Casino was fined $12,000 more after a 19-year-old man obtained a player's club card and went onto the gaming floor, drinking alcoholic beverages and gambling at table games, the Board said.

The Casino had recently paid the Board a $1 million tab to open up the resort to individuals who wanted to come to there strictly to gamble, an allowance required by state law. That $1 million also allows the casino to expand its gambling machines.
