Valley Forge Fire Company Says Man Pretended To Be Firefighter, Lied About Calls

Valley Forge Fire Co. said that a man posed as one of their firefighters on Facebook and lied about a tornado with "multiple fatalities."

The Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company said that a man pretended to be a firefighter with the company and made up fake calls that he'd been on.

The man, Matthew Johnson, claimed on Facebook that he responded with the company to a tornado in West Chester in which their were "multiple fatalities," Valley Forge Fire said.

That incident, however, never happened, and there were certainly no deaths, officials said.

The fire company said that they had since resolved the issue and had the information removed from Facebook.
