Victims in Fatal Route 422 Racing Crash Identified: DA
Breaking: authorities have identified the victims of the fatal Route 422 crash on Feb. 4 that occurred when two cars were racing each other.

A Stroudsburg woman and New York man have been identified as the victims of a fatal crash on Route 422 just after midnight on Feb. 4.
Marissa Kelly, 20, of Stroudsburg, and Anthony Rodriguez, 23, of East Elmhurst, New York, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the Lower Pottsgrove accident which investigators say occurred after two vehicles were racing each other at more than 100 miles per hour.
Kelly and Rodriguez were passengers in a car driven by Santone Santiago, of New York City, who was taken to Reading Hospital in critical condition after the crash, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Santiago was racing a BMW against a black Dodge Challenger when he lost control and crashed through the guardrail and trees on the side of the highway, the DA said. The car came to a stop on its hood at the bottom of a 30-foot ravine, near mile marker 169.4.

The car which they were racing, a black Dodge Challenger, briefly stopped but then fled the scene after the crash. The DA's office is asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of that car.
