Vietnam Vet, Robert 'Skeeter' Wassel, Passes Away At 69

Rest in peace, Skeeter.

Robert P. “Skeeter” Wassel, 69, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at home.

Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Eleanor (Monaghan) Wassel. Robert served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked at the former B.F. Goodrich Company in Oaks, and then for the PA State Store in Phoenixville.

He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his son, Shawn Wassel, and his mother Beverly Wassel; sister, Joan Embry; and his nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10:00 am.

Burial will be private in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Visitation will be held in the church on Friday morning from 8:45 am to 9:45 am.
