Vigil For Orlando Victims In Phoenixville Raises $2200
A candlelight vigil was held in Phoenixville on Monday in support of the victims of the Orlando nightclub attack.

Phoenixville, PA -- A candlelight vigil was held in Phoenixville on Monday in memory of the victims of the Orlando nightclub attack.
Saint Vincent United Church of Christ held the vigil during a religious service to honor the 49 individuals who were killed and the 53 who were injured in the deadliest mass shooting in United States history.
The vigil marked support for both the victims and the larger LGBT community.

A total of $2,200 was raised in donations to the Orlando LGBT center during the vigil, a Chester County LGBT advocacy group said Tuesday.
According to the Times Herald, those who attended the vigil wrote messages of love and support for the LGBT community in Orlando on a rainbow flag, which will also be sent down to the LGBT Center in Orlando.

The vigil included reflections, music, candle-lighting, and more. It was presided over by Rev. Susan Hanson.
Saint Vincent's posted the following on their Facebook page after the attack:
"Because no one should ever be attacked by another person for any reason
Because hate is always wrong and love is the only way for us to respond
We Stand With Orlando!"
Saint Vincent is located on 137 Ridge Road in Phoenixville.
