Volunteers Add to the Borough's Urban Tree Canopy
27 trees were planted in the Borough on Saturday, November 20th
Approximately 20 volunteers from the community and two Borough Streets Department employees added 27 new trees to Phoenixville's urban forest on November 20th, 2021. The trees were planted in Reeves Park and along streets in the Borough. Trees were purchased at a reduced price due to a subsidization program sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS).

People who are interested in volunteering their time at future planting events or suggesting a planting site should contact the TAC through Borough Hall at 610-933-8801 or email tac@phoenixville.org. Additionally, Phoenixville residents who think managing and maintaining the urban forest in the Borough is important should contact their council person and let them know they would like to have additional public trees planted in their wards. You can find contact info for Borough Council here.
