Volunteers Needed for Fall Tree Planting In Phoenixville

Come out and help add some greenery to the Borough.

The Fall tree planting had to be rescheduled due to the unexpected snowstorm that hit the region. The Borough will now be planting 20 trees on the morning of Saturday, December 1st, 2018. The trees were purchased through a grant from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society in conjunction with their TreeVitalize program and Plant One Million campaign. Trees will be planted along streets in the Borough and in Reeves Park.

The volunteer group will meet at Reeves Park at 9 am where several trees will planted as a demonstration. Then the group will split up and plant the other trees.

Trees provide many benefits to Borough residents, and the TAC is optimistic about future planting projects. Phoenixville residents who think managing and maintaining the urban forest in the Borough is important should contact their council person and let them know they would like to have additional public trees planted in their wards. You can find contact info for Borough Council here.
