Waskiewicz and Hildreth to Compete in PAC 10 Championships

Swimming with the NAHS Eagles team, two RA students have qualified and earned the right to compete in the 2018 High School Championships.

Phoenixville, PA – On Saturday, February 17th, 2018 two Renaissance Academy (RA) students will participate in the 2018 PAC 10 High School Swimming Championships.

RA Sophomore, Alexander (Alex) Waskiewicz qualified to compete in two relays, the 100-meter breaststroke and 100-meter Individual Medley. Elijah Hildreth, RA Freshman, has earned the right to swim in both the 100-meter freestyle relay and the 50-meter freestyle relay.

This is a great accomplishment for both swimmers. This is Elijah's first season on this team only competing with the Eagles since September of 2017 for a total of 5 months. Alex has been with the Eagles for only two seasons and, in addition to qualifying for the championships, he has been selected to be a team co-caption.

Both students are residents of Norristown, PA. Alex Waskiewicz resides with his parents, Mark and Anne Waskiewicz, along with his sister, Cassandra. Elijah is the son of Elias and Erica Hildreth and lives with his siblings, Eliza and Kaylyn.

As Renaissance Academy does not have a swimming program at this time, both athletes have been swimming for the Norristown Area High School Eagles which practices out the Norristown Area Aquatic Club (NAAC). This high school team is coached by Head Coach, Beth O’Neil along with assistant coach, Lucas Stem.
